Monsell Lloyd Mrs Dimock Eng 102 February 17, 2011 Cuba VS Harrison Bergeron As I was sitting in my study, I open myself steering at my once painted, cracked dry wall and finally decided to work on my assignment that was effrontery to me about a month ago and was due in the morning. I grabbed my book bag with the one strap that appease held it to demoralizeher and carefully unzipped it. I proceeded to pull out my literary works book entitled Backpack Literature and started to read a grade by the name of Harrison Bergeron written by Kurt Vonnegut, jr. in 1961. As I began to read the first split up which states The year was 2081, and everybody was finally friction match, the thing that caught my attention was that the write up was written in the future. The word equal grasped my attention because it had me wonder who or what decided what was actually equal. I started to remember what it was analogous when I went to visit my aunt in Cuba. I had random questions flowing through my mind. Is this story going to be as unique like I imagine it to be? From a teenager in high school in genus Anguilla in my history classes, we always discussed Cuba and how powerful it was. Cuba is the largest Caribbean island and was ruled by Fidel Castro who was a dictator and also a communist.

I believe that the linkage between Cuba and Harrison Bergeron is that everyone is equal. I believe that in Harrison Bergeron the word equal has a different meaning in the sight of the generator.
