On blend in Friday September 19, we had a field trip to the Museum of Printing History. We nevertheless have some people been waiting in configuration because the others came directly to the museum. later on few minutes, we started to go to the museum which is located at 1324 W Clay St., Houston, Texas 77019. It was not difficult to find this ramble because I had been here last year with my friends. However, it was not pull in me boring because what I saw there still amazing.
macrocosm a guide to lead us around the museum was Charles Criner. He helped us to know a lot about the autobiography of strikeing. He took us go to a small residence hall that we could see an oldest printing conjure up, the Gutenberg Press. It was invented by Johannes Gutenberg from 1440. I could not debate that I could see and touch that machine by my hand. It was rightfully awesome to understand and know one of developing in memoir of human. Furthermore, Criner showed us how to use make a print on it.
Then, he showed us some other room with another printing press, the Columbus Press. It is an improvement from the Gutenberg Press. One of my friends was showed how to use this press to create a page of type.
It looked easily and faster than the Gutenberg Press. After that, we went to another room where the artist making their art works. Criner was a best when he showed us how to print on limestone. I have never thought that we can print on a stone before. Walking to the printing lab, I saw many types that were created for using in the press. Finally, we came to watch a pictorial matter about the history of printing. It was not long, but I gave us a lot of knowledge and experiences.
This field trip was a good experience for me. It helped to understand more about the history of printing with a lot difficult in their set-back steps. If you want to get a full essay, order it on our website: Ordercustompaper.com
