In late June of 1824, Charles entered Wellington House Academy. Just past his fifteenth birthday he had to leave school because of his familys finances. His family wasnt able to pay the rent. They were evicted. At the age of seventeen, he dear his shorthand and developed accuracy. He was yet too schoolboyish for the press gallery of the House of Commons. When he turned eighteen, he got a ticket to go to the British Museum. He was in love with Shakespeares work, Goldsmiths History of England, and any other books that gave him a better education.
